Terms of Service

What RightCare MN is, what it is not, and the rules for using it.

These terms cover your use of rightcaremn.com. Using the site means you accept them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a care business, you are confirming you have authority to do that.

The most important line on this page. RightCare MN is a directory, not a care provider, a referral agency, or an adviser. We do not vet clinical quality, we are not party to any agreement you make with a provider, and nothing here is medical, legal, or financial advice.

What the service is

We publish listings for licensed senior and adult care providers in Minnesota so that families, case managers, and providers can find each other. Searching, comparing, and contacting providers is free for families. Providers can claim a listing free and optionally pay for a plan that increases their visibility.

Paid plans buy placement and features. They do not buy endorsement, a better rating, or a "verified" badge that means more than what it says.

Accuracy, and what you must check yourself

We work from public licensing records and from what providers tell us, and we try hard to keep it right. We cannot guarantee that any listing is current, complete, or correct. Licences lapse, businesses close, staff change, and prices move.

Before you rely on anything here, verify it at the source. Minnesota licences can be checked directly with the Minnesota Department of Health and the Department of Human Services, and their records govern over ours. Where we show a licence number, treat it as a pointer to the state's record, not as a substitute for it.

Some listings carry an internally generated reference rather than a state licence number. We never present those as licences, and a listing without a real licence number shows none.

We are not part of your arrangement with a provider

If you contact a provider through this site and go on to arrange care, that agreement is between you and them. We do not supervise care, set prices, hold funds, or guarantee that any provider will accept you, respond to you, or perform well. We take no commission from families.

Choosing a care provider is a serious decision. Tour in person, ask for references, read the contract, and involve a professional where it matters.

Using the site

Please do not:

Ordinary personal use — searching, comparing, saving pages, contacting providers about real care needs — is exactly what the site is for and none of the above.

Provider listings and accounts

If you claim a listing, you confirm you are authorised to represent that business and that what you submit is accurate. We verify claims against state licensing records before approving them, and we may ask for more information.

You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password to yourself. Tell us immediately if you think someone else has access.

By submitting listing content — descriptions, photos, service details — you give us permission to display and distribute it as part of the directory, and you confirm you have the rights to it. You keep ownership of it.

We may edit a listing for accuracy or formatting, and we may suspend or remove a listing that is false, that we cannot verify, that is the subject of a credible complaint, or that breaks these terms.

Plans, billing, and cancellation

There is no online checkout. Paid plans are arranged directly with us and invoiced; a plan is applied by hand once arranged. Prices are those quoted at the time and may change on notice for future periods.

You can cancel a plan at any time by writing to us. Cancellation stops future billing and returns the listing to the free tier at the end of the period already paid for. We do not pro-rate part-months.

Marketing and website services are separate engagements with their own scope and terms, agreed in writing before work starts.

Our content

The site's design, code, written guides, and the compilation of the directory are ours and are protected by copyright. You may read, print, and link to pages for your own use. You may not republish substantial parts of the directory or use our name and marks without permission.

Links to state agencies and other outside sites are for convenience. We don't control them and aren't responsible for what's on them.

Disclaimers

The site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any listing, figure, or guide is accurate or current.

Nothing here is medical, legal, or financial advice, and no reading of this site creates a professional relationship of any kind. If a situation is urgent or someone is in danger, call 911. For Minnesota adult protection concerns, contact the Minnesota Adult Abuse Reporting Center.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, RightCare MN and the people who run it are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or the cost of substitute services, arising from your use of the site or from any dealing with a provider you found through it.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim — which, for families, is zero, because the directory is free.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Indemnity

If your use of the site, your listing content, or your breach of these terms causes a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of defending it.

Changes and ending access

We may change these terms; the date at the top moves when we do, and continuing to use the site means accepting the new version. We may change or discontinue features. We may suspend access for anyone breaking these terms. You can stop using the site at any time, and ask us to close your account.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the state and federal courts sitting in Minnesota are the venue for any dispute. Nothing here removes a consumer protection you have under Minnesota law.

If any provision is unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
